2016 Realtor® Dues are $626
• Value of membership
• 50 Ways NAR is Indispensable to Your Business
Note: No invoices will be mailed this year. Starting in early October pay your dues in full online. The date will be announced.
If you prefer sending a check, from the online member portal you can print a copy of the dues bill and mail it in with your payment.
Realtor® dues for 2016 are $626 which equates to a 1.45% increase over the 2015 dues which were $617. This includes membership in the National Association of Realtors®, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors® and the Realtor® Association of Pioneer Valley.
Invoices will not be mailed this year. A payment plan is available for those Realtors® who wish to divide their payment in 3 equal amounts. Any member, or member's spouse on active military duty may take advantage of a dues waiver.
Dues for the succeeding calendar year of all members shall be payable in advance on the first day of December. A late fee is assessed to those members paying dues after December 31, 2015. Checks returned for insufficient funds will be assessed a $30 fee.

Changes coming October 3 to the Closing Process. Are you prepared?
NAR and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has launched an online toolkit for real estate professionals as part of the "Know Before You Own" campaign.
The new website is designed to help real estate professionals
understand the changes to the closing process, which begin on
October 3, 2015, and how to explain the changes to clients.

MAR has prepared a new form which will be
available on all MassForms electronic forms platforms. If you subscribe to
MassForms, the form will automatically be added to your library. You can also
find a copy of the form on the MAR website at the following link: New
MAR Integrated Disclosure Addendum.
The Form is intended to be used as an addendum to the Contract to Purchase
and/or the Purchase and Sales Agreement. Under the new regulations, there are
certain circumstances where the closing may need to be delayed in order to
allow for sufficient time for the lender to provide copies of the new Closing
Disclosure, which will replace the HUD-1 Form. This addendum will allow the
buyer and seller to agree to extend the closing in anticipation of such delays.
It also requires the buyer and seller to use reasonable efforts to provide the
closing attorney with information regarding any adjustments needed for closing.
As always, it is recommended that Realtors® refer the buyer and seller to their
attorney to answer specific legal questions they might have about this form.
Placemaking Grants aid Monson and Agawam. Dedication of the Cindy Ayre Memorial Bench
September 12th was a beautiful day for the dedication of the new Dog Park in Agawam. The Cindy Ayre Memorial Bench was dedicated at the same time. Cindy, a life-long dog lover, was a Past-President and Realtor® of the Year of the Greater Springfield Association of Realtors®. RAPV acquired a NAR Placemaking grant to assist in the creation of the dog park. Donations from members were used to purchase the memorial bench and plaque. Seen here is Cindy's family, Realtors® and Agawam Mayor Richard Cohen.
A second NAR Placemaking grant was acquired to assist in the rebuilding of Monson after the devastating tornado of June 2011. The funding was used to purchase benches and signage for a senior hiking trail. RAPV President Dawn Henry (right) is seen here with Karen King, Monson Realtor® and driving force behind the project.
