RAPV Centennial - 100 Years of Service to the Pioneer Valley
One-hundred years. Do you believe it? Phew!
Just how did organized real estate get started in the Pioneer Valley? Here it is. In 1915, six gentlemen met at the Hotel Worthy on Main Street in Springfield and created the Springfield Real Estate Board. It was chartered and recognized later that year by the National Association of REALTORS®. We were off and running.
Six gentlemen....hmmm....where were the ladies? It was decades before women got involved but when we did we started to make a mark. So much that today women make up 58 percent of the NAR membership.
I am proud and honored to be your president in this milestone year. I hope you will join us at the Centennial Gala being held November 5 at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield. We will elect our 2016 Directors and Officers the same night. Under their capable leadership they will take us into the next 100 years.
The cost of the event is $49. Many fun things are planned and we have special guests joining us. You may register online at the member portal. If you have questions about registering contact Gail at 785-1328 or firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope to see you there.
2016 Dues are payable December 1
• Value of membership
• 50 Ways NAR is Indispensable to Your Business
No invoices were mailed this year. Both REALTOR® and Affiliate members may pay their dues online at the member portal.
If you prefer sending a check you may do so. From the member portal you can print a copy of the dues bill and mail it in with your payment.
REALTOR® dues for 2016 are $626 which equates to a 1.45% increase over the 2015 dues which were $617. This includes membership in the National Association of REALTORS®, the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® and the REALTOR® Association of Pioneer Valley.
A payment plan is available for those REALTORS® wishing to divide up their dues into 3 separate payments.
Any member, or member's spouse on active military duty may take advantage of a dues waiver.
Dues for the succeeding calendar year of all members shall be payable in advance on the first day of December.
A late fee is assessed to those members paying dues after December 31, 2015. Checks returned for insufficient funds will be assessed a $30 fee.
NOTE: NAR Ecommece will be unavailable 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18. You are unable to pay your dues or register for events or education during that time. NAR will be upgrading and replacing firewalls that protect the Ecommerce Network at that time.
If you have questions, contact Erin Percoski, RAPV Bookkeeper at 785-1328 or email@example.com.
We value you membership. Thank you.
